Water Filtration Appliances WQA Certified Water Quality Specialist This is to certify that Coway Co., LTD., established in 1989, has an annual production of 700,000 units and total sales of 1,300,000 units, and is the greatest corporate enterprise of water purification systems in the Republic of Korea. WQA Gold Seal Mark The Gold Seal is a quality mark certified by the WQA for products that improve water quality. In March 1995, Coway acquired the Gold Seal for its entire product line, a first in the industry. Air Purifier BAF Mark Allergy UK (British Allergy Foundation) is a British medical charity dedicated to helping humans with their allergies, food intolerance, and chemical sensitivity. It was founded in 1991 as the British Allergy Foundation, and in 2002 the operational name of the charity became Allergy UK. Allergy UK endorses certain products that confine or remove high levels of allergens and gives them a Seal of Approval. Design Red dot Design Award The red dot design award is an international product design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany since 1955. With more than 10,000 submissions from 60 countries, the international "red dot design award" ranks among the largest and most renowned design competitions in the world. iF Design Award The iF product design was introduced in 1954 and is annually conferred by the iF International Forum Design. With more than 2,000 product entries from about 40 countries, iF Design Award is one of the most prestigious international product design awards in the world. Good Design Award The Good Design Award is Japan's only comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system, operated by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization. The system has its origins in the "Good Design Selection System" (generally known as the "G-Mark System") instituted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Japan in 1957. Electric Safety UL Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent product safety certification organization that has been testing products and writing standards on safety for over a century. UL evaluates more than 19,000 types of products, components, materials and systems annually with 21 billion UL Marks appearing on 72,000 manufacturers' products each year. UL's worldwide family of companies and network of service providers includes 62 laboratories testing and certification facilities serving customers in 99 countries. ETL (cETL) The ETL Listed mark is provided by the Intertek Group, and is the fastest growing product safety certification mark in North America. There are more than 50,000 products listings for the ETL Listed mark. Certified Institution Approval ISO 9001 Certification Coway's quality control system was certified by TUV, the world's leading third-party inspection organization. TUV Bayern was founded in Germany in 1872 to carry out product development, design, manufacturing, inspection, testing, installation and services. ISO 14001 Certification Coway has worked to protect the environment, through efforts such as operating Korea's largest research center for environmental technology, home to some 170 scientists. The company has passed the TUV Bayern Group's ISO 14001 inspection and has been recognized for its environment-friendly management system. Company & Brand Power Global Brand Competency Index Number 1 GBCI (Global Brand Competency Index) No. 1 for 3 consecutive year (2004 ~ 2006) for Coway from JMAC (Japan Management Consultants) GBCI: Global brand rating index by International Consulting Firm, JMAC. Guiness Book of Records Coway Co., Ltd. In September 1995, Coway became the first Korean company to obtain this certificate. The certificate recognizes entities that properly use knowledge and technology for water quality improvement and operate with honesty, sincerity and integrity based on WQA Ethics Principles. No. 1 in Brand Power The Korea-Brand Power Index (K-BPI) indicates the influence of a brand being marketed in Korea on consumers’ purchasing behavior. It was developed in 1998 by KMA Consulting Inc. Coway has ranked at the top of this index for seven consecutive years, from 1999 through 2005 Winner of the Korea Marketing Grand Prize for five consecutive years In 2001, Coway was awarded the "Grand Marketing Prize" by the Korean Management Association.
